Marriott Launches ‘Series by Marriott’ in India

Marriott International has unveiled its newest hotel brand, Series by Marriott, marking a strategic expansion into the midscale and upscale lodging segments. The brand’s debut is set in India through a foundational partnership with Concept Hospitality Private Limited (CHPL), highlighting India as a pivotal growth market for Marriott .

Series by Marriott aims to integrate regionally established hotel brands into Marriott’s global portfolio, offering guests consistent quality and service while allowing regional owners to retain their unique identities. The brand’s focus is on providing travelers with comfortable stays that emphasize essential comforts and high-quality basics .

The initial launch in India will feature CHPL’s flagship brands—The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat—as exclusive members of the Series by Marriott collection. This collaboration is expected to bring over 100 hotels across 90 locations into the fold, adding approximately 8,000 rooms to Marriott’s inventory in India .

Properties under the Series by Marriott brand will offer amenities such as clean, comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, daily coffee or tea, and optional breakfast. Select locations will also feature fitness centers and meeting spaces. As part of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, members can earn and redeem points during their stays and enjoy exclusive member benefits .

This move underscores Marriott’s commitment to expanding its presence in emerging markets by partnering with established regional brands. The collaboration with CHPL is expected to unlock the potential of Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India, fostering local economies and meeting the rising demand for sustainable, comfortable, and accessible stays .
