Las Vegas is set to elevate its racing scene with the opening of North America’s first official Formula 1® karting attraction. Launching on May 2, 2025, F1® DRIVE at Grand Prix Plaza offers motorsport enthusiasts the chance to race on a 1,696-foot track that incorporates a section of the actual Las Vegas Strip Circuit — a first for any karting facility.
The track layout features 31 challenging turns, including sharp hairpins and technical chicanes, designed to appeal to both amateur and experienced drivers. Participants will pilot F1-inspired karts equipped with advanced technologies such as Drag Reduction System (DRS), Energy Recovery System (ERS), and LED steering wheel displays that track lap times and boost levels. To enhance authenticity, drivers will experience real 2023 Formula 1 engine sounds and live radio communications from a virtual Race Engineer.
F1® DRIVE offers a variety of race packages. The Elite Experience includes two 15-minute track sessions, a professional photo finish, and a podium celebration for the top three racers. A VIP Add-On Experience offers extra perks such as additional simulator rides, merchandise discounts, and complimentary refreshments, giving visitors a more immersive race day experience.
Located within the expansive 39-acre Grand Prix Plaza, F1® DRIVE is part of a broader motorsport entertainment hub that also houses F1® X, an interactive Formula 1 exhibition, and F1® HUB, featuring simulators, retail stores, and dining venues. Together, these attractions promise to make Grand Prix Plaza a year-round destination for racing fans.
Operating hours will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The attraction will temporarily close in late summer 2025 to prepare for the Las Vegas Grand Prix scheduled for November 20–22, with plans to reopen thereafter.
