Air Canada has introduced a new premium café experience at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, designed to elevate the journey for elite domestic travelers. Situated near Gate A2, the newly opened Air Canada Café spans 2,700 square feet and offers 58 seats, each equipped with power outlets, including USB-C ports for laptop charging. This modern space blends convenience and comfort with a distinctive Montréal flair, reflecting the city’s celebrated café culture.
The café features a curated menu of local favorites, offering travelers a range of high-quality grab-and-go options. Guests can enjoy pistachio cream croissants, cheese boards, vegetarian wraps, fresh salads, bagels, and smoked meat sandwiches—all inspired by Montréal’s culinary traditions. A self-serve beverage station offers specialty Lavazza coffee, nitro cold brew, kombucha from local brand Gutsy, as well as local beers and ciders. To accommodate dietary preferences, all ingredients and allergen details are accessible via QR codes throughout the café.
Designed in collaboration with Montréal-based firm Provencher Roy, the café’s interior pays tribute to the city’s artistic and cultural identity. Custom abstract artwork by Montréal-born artist Melanie Authier and handcrafted light fixtures add a unique sense of place. The aesthetic draws inspiration from the third-wave coffee movement, merging modern design with warm, welcoming touches.
Access to the Air Canada Café is available to business class travelers, Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Super Elite status holders, Star Alliance Gold members, and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders. Entry is streamlined through eGates at the entrance, allowing eligible guests to scan their boarding passes for seamless access.
This opening is part of Air Canada’s larger initiative to expand and modernize its lounge network. The airline plans to add over 500 lounge seats across global airports by the end of 2025, enhancing comfort and capacity for its growing customer base.
With this new café, Air Canada has redefined the airport experience by integrating thoughtful design, local character, and premium amenities. It caters to the evolving needs of today’s frequent flyers, offering a stylish, efficient, and distinctly Canadian pre-flight experience.
